Around 10 days ago I was told that I use wrong English during chat in plurk site. I’ll write details below.

After Vera shared our most viewed creation video about By2 in the English top in plurk site, she got respond from one man; his plurk name is Chong Sun Won.

We determined that that guy should know Traditional Chinese to read title of the video. But he responded in English. We got fun conversation in that day.  Then I and Vera added him as plurk friend.

After some time we continue lots conversations with him and others friends in plurk site. We made chat about different themes by responding in each other plurk topics. We got a lot of useful information about American lifestyle and got some English lessons again. (It always happens with us when we meet with some people who live in America and use plurk site).

One day I created topic that we lost some American-speaking guy from plurk friends’ list and wrote that Americans guy aren’t able to make conversation with Russian girls.

And really for last 4 months we lost several plurkers whose were using English and were living in America. They all said that couldn’t get our conversation and they tired from it. That was really sad and hurts.

Chong Sun Won started reflects and I would like to quote our dialogs. Below I will mark myself as I and him as SW (shorted from Sun Won).

SW: I think maybe you guys use too many smileys at the same time.. scared him away..

I: probably, i really can’t understand them, just wondered. Social Education in Russia and in America are absolutely 2 different things, it was main reason I suppose. 

SW: hahaha.. Using too many smileys will confuse ppl.. They don't know if you are angry or hungry...and sometime you guys use too many words like fart, and crap... and people just confused..  Usually they would say... darn..dang... but not too much.. 

I: oh, I got, didn't know that words darn, dang never heard it

SW: You guys don't seem like the kind of girl who swear a lot

I: we are foreigners and don't know talking speech, know only books English. Will know that it sounds rude, we just couldn't talk with real American-speaking people, we know book English.

In  that day I got that I and Vera used rude words in our English-typing speech and it could deter some people from us. I was really frustrated about it. If I would have known in that time that I used wrong and rude English speech I wouldn’t have used it again.

Now I got why some Canadians girls just laughed on us and didn’t want to make chat with us. (I wrote about them in my story about July 2011). And if I asked help with some explanation they just said: “Google it”. We had never chat with native English speaking person in real life and we just didn’t know life speech words not mentioned some shorts phrases and abbreviation. And  If  I ask alive person why I need go to read huge articles and then time will gone I will not be able to get all meaning of our last conversation, I’m I right? You can imagine what I felt in that time. It was hurts also because they were teens but I’m adult, I just couldn’t protect myself from theirs crappy words and jokes.

Well I removed from pluk friend’s list that girls and lost some American people too due of such misunderstanding.

When we reach out to other who is different from us with genuine kindness, we make friends out of strangers, and our world becomes a more peaceful place to live. And we found such people.

I would like to express sincerely grateful to Chong Sun Won for his explanation and his support. I got good lesson from our chat. I will not make such mistakes again.

He advised so many useful things to increase and improve our English by watching American TV or listening life English speech (internet news, free audio books). He didn’t just said it, he shared so many links for prove his kind intent and help for us.

Also I would like to express such grateful for other our plurk friends Walkinggeek and 民婦蒜頭氏阿勤. I’m glad to met u guys in our internet community.

You 2 helped us mush too.  I had never seen such kind and helpful American people like you and Chong Sun Won. May be you are not native English-speaking people, but u lived enough time in America to teach foreign by right English and right conversation, because you are 100% people in all meanings of this word.

Unfortunately we don’t know your real names and excuse us if we used just nick names for calling you or used some rude words and not clear English speech.  We understand your cautiously secretive life style in plurk site.

And I would like end of my post by such word: When someone leaves, it's because someone else is about to arrive. Every goodbye makes the next hello closer.

I think it’s very truly words and I already checked it on myself.
