Today was our first working day at new school.
Since 1 of September I and Sasha officially become employed.
Today is Knowledge day in Russia.
Knowledge Day, often simply called 1st of September, is the day when the school year traditionally starts in Russia and many other former Soviet republics.
Basically it’s feast with flowers and different performances.

Pupil’s give flowers for future teachers and directors; teachers, parents, or some guest take participation in congratulations.
They usually tell about school, how important attend school and get knowledges, plus a lot of good wishes and recommendation for future pupils.
Here roses which were presented for me and Sasha.
It’s very nice to got it in first working day.

This day also marks the end of summer and the beginning of autumn.
Today since the morning was cloudy, then sky become deep grey color and rain was started.

1 of September has special significance for the incoming class of first graders who come to school for the first time and often participate in a celebratory assembly on this date.
The day also involves the First Bell where a first grade girl is lifted on the shoulders of a 11th grade male pupil, and paraded around, ringing the first bell of the school year.

Students in other grades may begin studies on September 1 or a few days later, usually without any special festivities.
